Summary

Tomboy Tavern features a wraparound bar, expanded indoor seating, and big screen televisions for game day, offering local craft beers, cocktails, and a menu suitable for the whole group for lunch and dinner. Successful candidates will ensure exceptional service and interact positively with guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet all guests entering the restaurant in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Coordinate dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners, alerting serving staff to allergy concerns, special occasions, and special requests.
• Maintain an active table map (seating chart) of the Dining Room, including server assignments.
• Compile and maintain a waiting list, keeping guests informed about table availability.
• Greet and escort guests to tables, present menus, and make accommodations for special seating needs.
• Know and greet club members by name and their past preferences, and manage the coatroom if applicable.
• Assist serving staff by checking and restocking dining room serving stations, ensuring neatness, organization, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to CS Venue grooming and hygiene policies.
• Observe and assure compliance with all health codes and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, personable, and organized.
• At least 1-year fine dining experience or similar.
• Fluency in the English language: read, write, speak clearly and effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, compute rates, ratios, discounts, and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Operational understanding of reservation systems, POS system, word processing, spreadsheet, and email/internet software.
• Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, and sit.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold.
• Sometimes exposed to noise levels in the work environment.
