About the role

The Tolling Market Lead will partner with our local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies across the globe. This role will champion the identification and development of projects and programs for toll facility clients across the 36 operating areas within HDR’s transportation business group and will be responsible for enhancing and developing HDR’s suite of toll industry services to both existing and future clients.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies across the globe.
  • Identify and develop projects and programs for toll facility clients across 36 operating areas within HDR’s transportation business group.
  • Develop and enhance HDR’s suite of toll industry services for both existing and future clients.
  • Research and share knowledge of trends and drivers within the tolling market.
  • Support areas in the identification, pursuit, and delivery of tolling opportunities where HDR can compete and deliver professional services.
  • Partner with local area business development leaders and business group managers to evaluate and prioritize investments for capturing tolling client opportunities.
  • Lead HDR’s strategy for presence and leadership in industry organizations such as IBTTA and others.

Requirements

  • Established relationships with major toll clients/DOTs.
  • Proven ability to set and execute the strategy for growth of a practice, ideally in the Tolling market.
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering, and planning services.
  • Experience in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program/project pursuits.
  • Experience in overall staff development, including recruiting, career path, and professional growth.
  • Experience with industry associations and maintaining a visible profile in the market sector.
  • Cooperative working relationship with Area Market Sector Directors, Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Director, Area Business Group Managers, Area Marketing Managers, and Area Managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
