About the role

Lead teachers coordinate the daily operations of assigned classes, planning, presenting, and evaluating educational and recreational activities in a safe environment. They work directly with children and parents to provide quality customer service and maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere.

• Feel a sense of accomplishment through children’s laughter and engagement in activities you planned.
• Observe children’s interests and collaborate with other teachers to develop creative, engaging curriculum ideas.
• Communicate daily with parents about their children’s adventures and achievements via mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Engage with childcare professionals and continue growing in your career.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment.
• Coordinate daily classroom operations and maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios.
• Develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty.
• Address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. for child handling, safety, and emergency situations (for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, this includes lifting infants into and out of cribs).

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
• Successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to pass a background check.
