Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and effective family relations
• Working with a co‑teacher and in conjunction with the faculty
• Continuing education as required by Child Care Licensing and GSI

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Experience working and leading a Toddler classroom
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Proven experience in a licensed early childhood facility
• Reliable and dependable team player with good, positive energy
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for handling children, program facilitation, child safety, and potential emergencies
• Young Toddler Teachers must be able to properly lift children as required
