Toddler Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Toddler Teacher for our progressive preschool in the Irvine Spectrum area. We are looking for individuals who have chosen early education as a career and who love both children and life.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement learning experiences for children ages 18 months to 30 months.
• Encourage the involvement of families and support the development of positive relationships within the Piper community.
• Collaboratively implement an emergent curriculum.
• Participate in direct interaction with children.
• Serve as faculty for professional development activities and community-based events.
• Be responsible for changing diapers, lifting up to 35 pounds, standing for long periods, sitting for long periods, and crouching, crawling, or bending.
• React swiftly in an emergency situation.

Requirements

• 12 ECE units (B.A. or B.S. Preferred).
• 3 ECE units of Infant/Toddler.
• One year classroom teaching experience.
• Fluent in English.
• The ability to bend, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.

Pay

Hourly rate is based on experience and education. Medical, dental, and vision benefits, sick days, and paid holidays are provided. A 401k option is available after 12 months of employment.

Schedule

Monday - Friday; 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.
