What You'll Do Adapting daily routines to meet the interest and needs of the individual child and the groupEnsuring that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safeEstablishing policies and procedures, including disciplinary policiesMaintaining and scheduling weekly and monthly activitiesParticipating in on-going in-service and education development opportunities, and participating in the ongoing development and evaluation of the program's goals and objectivesPlanning and implementing activities that meet the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of their studentsProviding a classroom environment that encourages parent participationProviding adequate equipment and activitiesEnsuring that all children are supervised at all timesCommunicating with parents and discussing their children's developmentImplementing positive disciplineObserving children and making notes of progress and developmentProviding a safe and secure environment where children feel comfortableIntegrating special needs children in a positive and respectful manner Requirements Associates Degree in Early Childhood preferredMust have 1+ year working in a childcare settingMust have a minimum of 12 Early Childhood credits and must be willing to work towards getting a degree in ECECPR/First Aid certifiedProvide 3 professional referencesKnowledge of NAEYC accreditation a plusKnowledge of ELDS or DOTS Benefits 401K Medical Insurance Paid Time Off Employee Childcare Discount
