Toddler Assistant Teacher

About This Role

Kids in Motion Academy is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team! If you enjoy working with young children and are passionate about helping them learn and grow in a nurturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities aligned with the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and rest time.
• Create a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and daily interactions.
• Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, feeding, and other personal care routines while maintaining proper sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Communicate professionally with families during arrival and dismissal.
• Document daily activities, meals, naps, and classroom observations.
• Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff members.
• Follow all Bright from the Start licensing regulations and Kids in Motion Academy policies.
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development trainings.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• CDA, TCC, or coursework in Early Childhood Education (preferred but not required).
• Previous experience working with toddlers or young children (preferred).
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and meet all Bright from the Start requirements.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
