Toddler After School Program Teacher (Immediate Parental Leave Coverage)
Kingsley seeks applicants for an After School Program Teacher to cover a maternity leave from August 17 to December 2026. This role is a great opportunity for those interested in seeing many different facets of an independent school.

Responsibilities
- Assist with classroom coverage as needed throughout the school day, including recess, lunch, P.E. class, and other occasions.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure continuity between the classroom and After School Program.
- Develop lesson plans and activities, and lead engaging hands-on lessons in collaboration with classroom teachers and other after school teachers.
- Maintain classroom spaces and implement strict safety protocols, including monitoring student attendance and safely escorting students throughout campus.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each student, including leading safe After School trips to locations off-campus.
- Observe all rules and regulations of Kingsley Montessori School and maintain professional personal appearance.
- Attend regular meetings and share responsibilities with other faculty in curriculum management, after school schedules, student needs, and the learning environment.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree required.
- Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance curriculum and community.
- Commitment to meeting the needs of each child.
- Familiarity with and/or an interest in learning more about Montessori pedagogy (AMS/AMI teaching credentials are a plus but not required).

Pay
Kingsley is committed to equitable compensation for all faculty. Faculty salaries are determined based on an experience-based step scale, ensuring fair pay for those with similar teaching experience. Starting salaries typically range from $42,000 to $57,000, with the low end reflecting less experienced educators and the higher end recognizing those with over 20 years of teaching expertise.
