About the role

The Orthopaedic Center is seeking full-time Physical Therapists for various locations including Ardmore, Albertville, Athens, Florence, Guntersville, Hazel Green, Huntsville, Madison, Rogersville, and Scottsboro. This position averages 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Examine, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to patients referred by appropriate professionals.
  • Interpret practitioner referrals and perform a complete patient evaluation.
  • Develop a thorough treatment plan, including goals, reevaluate, and discharge patients.
  • Perform treatment programs, make necessary modifications, and assess patient responses to treatment.
  • Delegate and supervise support staff on appropriate portions of the treatment plan, while being open to ideas and suggestions.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes, and educate patients and families.
  • Efficiently perform duties related to the charging system and record individual productivity data.
  • Communicate with physicians and other disciplines, designating or establishing written and/or oral communication.
  • Manage secondary responsibilities and assignments as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Education: HS/GED, Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
  • Licenses: Current Physical Therapy License in Alabama and CPR certification.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Outstanding organizational and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Positive teamwork attitude in previous work history.
