About the role
Provide comprehensive flight training for aspiring pilots in various categories including Private Pilot (PPL), Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), and Commercial Pilot (CPL).
Responsibilities
- Teach private pilot courses, including PPL, Instrument, and Commercial ratings.
- Train students in all aspects of aviation, including theory, practical skills, and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular flight reviews and proficiency checks to ensure student safety and competency.
- Prepare students for written and practical exams required for each rating.
- Develop lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, record keeping, and communication with students and parents.
Requirements
- A valid commercial pilot certificate with appropriate ratings (PPL, Instrument, Commercial).
- At least 1000 hours of flight time, including at least 200 hours of cross-country flying.
- Pass a background check and meet other FAA requirements.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Education, or related field preferred.
- Experience in aviation education and training.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and industry best practices.
