TO TM Rotation Program-Gaming

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Training & Development Manager, work in a supportive environment to gain experience and learn skills required to perform Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort line-level positions. The Tribal Member Rotation program will be developed within Soaring Eagle Gaming departments who can provide on-the-job experience to unite the goals and curriculum of the program. This program is intended for Tribal Members to gain knowledge and experience in each department for future employment opportunities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Shadow and perform related duties within the Soaring Eagle Gaming entities.
• Complete the entire program as defined by the program guidelines.
• Evaluate progress and work performance while in each department.
• Perform duties and responsibilities relevant to placement.
• Participate in cultural and academic professional development opportunities that may arise.
• Work alongside assigned mentor to gain on the job experience.
• Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times.
• Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be a Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Member.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.

Physical Demands

• Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment.
• Required to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
• Occasionally walk and reach with arms and hands.
• Normal visual acuity, ability to talk and hear.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment

• Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment.
• Contact with the general public.
• Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino and constant machine and crowd noise.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
• Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
• Travel may be required.
