About the Role

Key leadership position within the Procurement team, focusing on developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies to maximize business performance across our global footprint. This role directs the organization’s global chemical raw material spend and sets global category strategies.

The senior manager will leverage spending, strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier performance management processes to deliver maximum value while managing risk. This hands-on leadership role includes approximately 5-6 direct reports and involves direct engagement with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for critical direct materials and manufacturing inputs.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to create and implement long-term category plans aligning market opportunities with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to evaluate supply markets, industry trends, pricing drivers, and competitive dynamics supporting sourcing decisions.
  • Lead strategic sourcing events, including RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, both personally and through direct teams.
  • Determine KPIs to drive supplier selection, qualification, onboarding, and replacement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing global category management strategies.
  • Strong background negotiating complex commercial contracts with large enterprise suppliers.
  • Significant experience sourcing direct materials within industrial, specialty manufacturing, process manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • Global category management experience across multiple international markets.
  • Proven team leadership and management experience, with ability to mentor, train, and lead from the front.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, delivering measurable business results through sourcing initiatives and supplier management programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Proficiency with technology tools, including ERP systems, digital procurement platforms, spend analytics, and supplier performance management tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
