TM Receiver
About the role
The Receiver is primarily responsible for inventory control, receiving accuracy, and compliance routines that support store operations. The role executes receiving, inventory adjustment, reconciliation, transfer, buyback/RTV, compliance, and reporting processes while maintaining partnership with the Store Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
- Use A+ Coaching routines to develop Team Members, improve selling behaviors, and reinforce consistent operating standards.
- Complete forklift and propane inspections and key propane use as required.
- Pull waiting OMNI orders and support BOPIS/OMNI reconciliation routines.
- Receive Direct POs, Mixing Center freight, Bulk Center freight, and DC receiving transfers.
- Stock and tag direct vendor freight, front/sidelot DC freight, and leather footwear according to process standards.
- Create Fill to Capacity picklists for the Freight Team as assigned.
- Key inventory adjustments and correct or adjust inventory discrepancies according to company process and Store Operations Manager direction.
- Review Negative On Hand Report and execute required follow-up.
- Review and execute buybacks and RTV processes.
- Complete daily defectives, print Summary Report, and submit to the Store Operations Manager.
- Complete Fire Extinguisher sign off, Biological Cooler rotation, PER review, Battery Program routines, and hazardous waste disposal program requirements.
- Process UPS/FedEx shipments, freight claims, used oil recycling, and used tires recycling where applicable.
- Partner with the Store Operations Manager on inventory control, compliance, receiving standards, and process follow-up.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
- Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.
- Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
Skills
- Basic computer skills/experience.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
Working Conditions
Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise. Work shifts vary from one store to another, but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 10 hours. Indoor floors and outdoor lots generally are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) lighting and temperature are adequate. Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
This position is non-sedentary. Team members must have the physical and mental stamina and ability to move throughout the store and outdoor areas quickly and safely. Ability to constantly operate a forklift, push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds, and lift or reach merchandise overhead. Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
