TM Receiver

Overall Job Summary

The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, maximizing store sales, and interacting with customers and Team Members to deliver a Legendary Customer Experience. The role involves managing inbound and outbound freight, recovering merchandise, operating various equipment, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain regular and predictable attendance. - Work scheduled shifts, varying hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. - Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, and Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer. - Process inbound and outbound freight. - Maintain accurate inventory control and adhere to loss prevention standards. - Recover merchandise. - Participate in mandatory freight processes. - Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area. - Stock and tag assigned work areas, including outside displays. - Operate cash register/computer following established procedures. - Ensure customers have a Legendary shopping experience. - Rotate and dispose of dated products. - Assemble merchandise. - Operate Forklift and Cardboard Baler. - Care for birds, sanitize holding tanks, and ensure their safety. - Complete all required documentation. - Obtain necessary licenses/certifications as needed.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required. Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license. Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Must be able to read, write, and count accurately.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities

- Basic computer skills/experience. - Basic math skills. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.

Working Conditions

- Generally works inside with moderate noise. - Work shifts vary from one store to another, typically no less than 4 hours. - Indoor floors and outdoor lots are hard surfaces. - Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. - Promotes a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers.

Physical Requirements

- Non-sedentary position. - Requires physical and mental stamina and ability to move quickly and safely throughout the store and outdoor areas. - Must have the physical and mental ability to perform all tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, including operating a forklift, pushing/pulling up to 2,000 pounds, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/kneeling/squatting/bending/stooping/climbing, and utilizing strong communication and reading/writing/counting skills.
