Job Description

Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Engineering department. Research, evaluate, and implement software tools used by the department and create long‑term strategic plans such as new software systems and production machinery. Provide opportunities for team members to develop their skills while striving for continuous improvement across company operations. Manage the department to complete assigned tasks on time and maintain outstanding attendance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering policies and procedures.
• Research, evaluate, and deploy software tools for the department.
• Formulate long‑term strategic plans, including new software systems and production machinery.
• Foster skill development and continuous improvement among staff.
• Manage departmental tasks to ensure timely completion and excellent attendance.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microvellum.
• Assist in developing and maintaining design and drawing standards; keep drawing files up to date.
• Experience reviewing technical work in product engineering, including:
  • Design engineering
  • Bill of Materials and router creation/maintenance
  • Material specification and procurement
  • Prototype fabrication
  • Optimization and programming of products/parts
  • Cut lists and saw optimizations
  • Material release documentation
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to create design drawings from written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
• Assist in developing manufacturing routers with assigned process times.
• Develop CNC machine code.
• Create production work orders and issue material release orders and engineering packages to production.
• Maintain the engineering production schedule within the ERP system.
• Capability to work effectively within the company’s ERP system.

Compensation

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 (pending experience). Relocation assistance is available.
