Title Technician, Assembly Test
Position Overview
Triumph Systems, Electronics & Control, located in Windsor, CT, is seeking a 1st Shift Assembly and Test Technician to produce end unit products, by assembling and testing parts and subassemblies.
Responsibilities
- Builds and assembles components utilizing assembly test procedures, reading blue prints, and following written engineering instructions.
- Adheres to proper specifications for subassemblies and assemblies by using inspection equipment (OD and ID micrometers, height gages, dial calipers, etc.), and reading blueprints.
- Tests units in accordance with the Customer’s Acceptance Test Procedures and engineering written instructions.
- Mets productions deadlines by following correct procedures for product completion.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Ensures product quality by testing assembled parts utilizing specifications and quality control procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Technical or vocational training desired.
- 3 years in aviation maintenance, military or manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with substantial acquaintance with and understanding of technical aspects of the job.
- Experience with mechanical and/or hydraulic assembly work.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, the ability to concentrate, and the ability to work as part of a team and get along with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in addition to attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to continuously stand or walk.
- Ability to bend, squat, and lift frequently.
- Ability to lift at least 15 lbs (and up to 35 lbs) infrequently.
- Must be capable of withstanding long periods of viewing data on a computer screen and/or in paper format.
- Ability to interact with a diversity of people and diverse levels of personnel.
