Title Production Coordinator - Shift 2

Purpose Statement

The Production Coordinator works closely with the Production Group Leader, performing both administrative and hands‑on tasks. The role is roughly 70 % production‑line work and 30 % administrative duties such as scheduling, reporting, and staff coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production schedules by assisting with associate placement and task coordination to meet production orders.
• Spend significant time on the production floor monitoring workflow, safety, and quality expectations.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, and plant safety standards.
• Assist with preparing, organizing, and submitting production, safety, and performance reports.
• Support documentation accuracy and completion of required paperwork.
• Communicate production issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Assist in training, coaching, and motivating associates to support productivity and engagement.
• Rotate breaks and lunches for associates to maintain line performance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic math and computer skills (data entry, reports, basic systems).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
• Familiarity with basic production scheduling, coordination, or problem‑solving (training provided).
• Ability to work various shifts, including overtime or weekends as needed.
