JOB GOAL
To assist students in meeting the Salem School District reading standard
Performance Responsibilities
- Provide direct reading instruction to students.
- Administer standardized and informal reading assessments.
- Utilize assessment data to inform instruction.
- Monitor and record student progress and share information with the building reading specialist, classroom teacher, and other professional staff, as appropriate.
- Maintain student records in compliance with Title I guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, building reading specialist, and other professional staff to design and deliver a cohesive program that supports classroom instruction.
- Work cooperatively with staff to achieve school and Title I program objectives.
- Participate in parent meetings and Student Services Team meetings, as appropriate.

Dependent upon federal funding 2026-2027
HOURLY SALARY
$32.64/hour
DURATION
5.5 hours/day
EVALUATION
Performance evaluated annually in accordance with Board and District policies.
