JOB GOAL

To assist students in meeting the Salem School District reading standard

Performance Responsibilities

• Provide direct reading instruction to students.
• Administer standardized and informal reading assessments.
• Utilize assessment data to inform instruction.
• Monitor and record student progress and share information with the building reading specialist, classroom teacher, and other professional staff, as appropriate.
• Maintain student records in compliance with Title I guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, building reading specialist, and other professional staff to design and deliver a cohesive program that supports classroom instruction.
• Work cooperatively with staff to achieve school and Title I program objectives.
• Participate in parent meetings and Student Services Team meetings, as appropriate.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Dependent upon federal funding 2026-2027

HOURLY SALARY

$32.64/hour

DURATION

5.5 hours/day

EVALUATION

Performance evaluated annually in accordance with Board and District policies.
