About the role

This position is a 9-month, 7-hour per day role within the Intermediate Autism program at CRESTWOOD ES.

Responsibilities

• Support students with autism in various classroom settings
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers and other staff
• Implement behavior support plans and assist in creating a safe learning environment
• Provide individualized instruction and support based on student needs
• Document observations and progress reports as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid California teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience working with individuals with autism or similar disabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Passing score on the California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET)
