Title I Literacy - Secondary - 195 Day

About the role

You will support Tier I and Tier II Literacy instruction aligned with Virginia Department of Education Instructional standards and effective literacy teaching practices. This position collaborates with school instructional staff and leadership to provide targeted literacy support without supplanting existing staffing or roles within school district allocations.

Responsibilities

• Focus on effective literacy teaching practices, unpacking and understanding standards, and task-standard alignment within Tier II
• Serve as a literacy teacher leader, assisting teachers with differentiated instruction, data-driven decision-making, and coaching practices to accelerate student learning
• Ensure compliance with Title I, Part A grant requirements and PWCS policies
