TIS SW Development Team Product Owner (PO)

About the Role

Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC. (AMS) is seeking a TIS SW Development Team Product Owner (PO) to join our diverse team, in Huntsville, AL., to create unique solutions for complex problems. AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions ranging from air and missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, seekers, modeling & simulation, and prototype hardware development and testing.

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) TIS (Track Identification Services) SW (Software) Development Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the TIS team.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
• Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects of the team for each product increment and sprint.
• Provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on the status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts on the IFMC mission.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of CID (Classification, Identification and Discrimination) used in C2 systems including IFF, ADS-B, Air Tasking Orders, and NCTR.
• Ability to provide oversight to the development team and verify the team's work based on agreed-upon acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews.
• Ability to work directly with the Agile software developers.
• Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
• US citizen.
• Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
• Minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiarity with current CID measures in one or more of the DoD services.
• Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.

Security Requirements: Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
