About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking Tire Mechanics at their Phoenix, AZ Service Center. The position requires 1-year commercial tire experience, the ability to lift up to 125 lbs, and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Change and repair tires on class 8 fleet vehicles
• Operate off and on the truck balancer
• Perform service calls on the road with a service truck
• Identify differences between retreads and new tires
• Identify and operate basic hand tools
• Properly tighten all types of wheels
• Properly repair tractor-trailer tires to company standards

Requirements / Qualifications

• Current operator's license
• Basic knowledge of tire D.O.T. information
• Basic knowledge of out of service criteria
• Ability to operate 1' air wrench
• Clean MVR required

Benefits

Full-time position with Monday - Friday schedule. Earn up to $27.21 per hour. After 90 days of employment, earn 1 week of vacation.
