About the role
The Associate Merchandiser, Footwear at Timberland is a trusted member of the Global Footwear Merchandising team. Reporting to the Merchandising lead for your category, you will be responsible for maintaining the seasonal global line plan throughout the entire go-to-market (GTM) calendar. You will also manage sample control and provide support tasks related to seasonal product creation.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed and accurate product line information in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system as well as other milestone documents, including internal development/ download, costing and pre-sample/sales sample discrepancy reports.
- Organize, track, and archive samples on a seasonal basis for team use and for all milestone meetings.
- Prepare product tools for all milestone meetings; organize physical product and prepare presentation boards, etc.
- Manage the catalog process, which includes identifying features and benefits on all product, organizing photography and confirming images on new product.
- Ensure accurate data is provided for box labels; gather necessary product, validate images and text, update PLM as needed.
- Communicate with Global Footwear Merchandising Team and Planning/Operations to action any changes to the product line information as necessary.
- Enter supply orders, samples orders, and liaise with customer service, legal, finance, sales planning and marketing on behalf of the team to address questions or issues.
- Manage the tracking, organization, and distribution of prototypes and sales samples to ensure timely availability and accurate inventory.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Photoshop.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills.
- A strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- The energy and flexibility suitable for a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to organize and prioritize multiple initiatives under tight timelines.
- The ability to identify and address problems independently.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in the consumer goods industry.
- Foundational skills include creating and maintaining detailed product line information, managing samples, organizing and tracking samples, preparing product tools, managing the catalog process, ensuring accurate data for box labels, communicating with teams, entering supply orders, and managing prototypes and sales samples.

Benefits
Annual salary range: $53,600.00 USD - $67,000.00 USD
Incentive potential: Eligible for additional compensation awards including an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
