TILE-SUPERVISOR PRODUCTION- NIGHTS

About the role

Key leader in the development and implementation of safe work practices, as well as setting safe condition standards; particularly in the areas of ergonomics and material handling. You will create, review, and audit LOTO policies, JHAs, and coordinated SOPs for all area-specific tasks. Facilitate the team in Behavior Based Safety, participate in safety committee activities, daily audits, and condition repair.

Implement and review quality control procedures to ensure product integrity, material specification, and process excellence. Drive areas of opportunity in recovery improvement, waste reduction, and continued efficiency improvement. Responsible for the continued training of hourly team members to grow technical knowledge.

Continuously review and communicate the performance of direct reports, engaging in open dialogue to set career milestones. Participate in the interview and hiring process for both hourly and salary positions. Review facility performance and create immediate corrective action plans to close gaps. Monitor product samples to ensure product excellence.

Coordinate activities with the maintenance team to guarantee time and efficiency. Communicate product and operational defects through the organization to address issues at the source. Seek innovative ways to increase efficiency and drive costs. Perform any other duties as required.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of supervisory/operations experience
• Strong technical background in the tile/ceramic industry preferred
• Previous quality control experience preferred
• Core competencies: strong communication skills, organization, data analysis and interpretation, ability to prioritize
• Ability to train, coach, and problem solve
• Good computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
