Tig Welder - 1st

About the role

The welder will weld various metals, construct, and fabricate manufactured parts to complete production processes.

Responsibilities

• Use standard industry tools and machinery
• Knowledge of material types and gauge thickness
• Prepare product for the next step in the production process by checking for defects in detail and/or cosmetic appearance
• Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions
• Perform all essential functions/duties within quality requirements
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Follow all required safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience performed on aluminum or stainless
• Welding certificate preferred

Skills

• Ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses
• Ability to follow established SOPs and Work Instructions
• Knowledge of simple math and decimal to fraction conversions
• Ability to set up machines as required
• Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Detail-oriented and thorough
• Self-motivated
• Ability to complete required paperwork accurately

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing
• Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
