About the role
The welder will weld various metals, construct, and fabricate manufactured parts to complete production processes.
Responsibilities
- Use standard industry tools and machinery
- Knowledge of material types and gauge thickness
- Prepare product for the next step in the production process by checking for defects in detail and/or cosmetic appearance
- Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions
- Perform all essential functions/duties within quality requirements
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Follow all required safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience performed on aluminum or stainless
- Welding certificate preferred
Skills
- Ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses
- Ability to follow established SOPs and Work Instructions
- Knowledge of simple math and decimal to fraction conversions
- Ability to set up machines as required
- Ability to follow directions and work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Self-motivated
- Ability to complete required paperwork accurately
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time
