Position Responsibilities
Provide first line AV support to the end users in supported spaces
Provide preventative maintenance to AV systems including testing and cleaning
Test each AV system as required or requested
Meet end users for training and to help them work through issues within a given space or spaces
Effectively create and update help desk tickets once tasks have been completed
Provide support and recommendations to end users for in-person, remote, and hybrid instructional solutions
Assist in any special events as needed
Required Qualifications
- An interest in the audio-visual industry
- Experience in customer support
- Experience with various web-conferencing and lecture capture applications
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to operate comfortably in high stress environments
- Experience with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android computer systems
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team and independently to achieve goals
- Must be able to move or lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to work from ladders or scaffolding as required
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in troubleshooting laptops
- Basic knowledge of AV signal flow
- Experience in higher education
- Experience in customer support related to AV systems
- Experience with use of Crestron and QSC components
- Basic IT networking experience
- Experience documenting issues and resolutions through a ticketing system
