Thrift Store Associate- part time ReMix Market in Ashland

About the role

Unique Ashland-area Thrift Store seeks a mature, energetic, and dependable associate to coordinate and support day-to-day store and retail operations (2-3 shifts per week). This is a customer-facing position, so you should enjoy working with the public and have a pleasant and engaging personality. Our fast-paced shop supports local area charities through its sales efforts, and we have a steady number of both new and wonderfully loyal repeat customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support day-to-day store and retail operations
• Run a cash register (Square)
• Answer phone inquiries
• Work seamlessly with a small team of associates
• Help with routine store maintenance and upkeep
• Help move furniture items around in the shop
• Load pieces of furniture (with assistance) into customers' vehicles

• Socially engaging and likes to stay busy while helping others
• In good physical condition
• Comfortable with physically active work, including moving and loading furniture

Requirements

• Previous experience working in an upscale thrift store or antique store environment (ideal)
• Interest in and knowledge of vintage furniture, antiques, and various household items
• Comfortable running a cash register (Square)

Schedule

Store hours are Tues-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturdays 9am-3pm (2-3 shifts per week).

Pay

$16.00 per hour
