As a Thrift Associate, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our thrift store, contributing to the mission of raising funds that support patient care and essential hospice services.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Thrift Store Associates to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with daily operations of our thrift store, including sorting donations, pricing items, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Price, stock, and merchandise display items for sale in the thrift shop to create an inviting and organized shopping experience.
• Open, close, and ensure the thrift shop operates properly during regularly scheduled hours, maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with volunteers, providing them with guidance and support to assist in the operations of the shop.
• Maintain accurate receipts of all sales and donations; ensure daily deposits are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Greet all customers with a friendly and polite demeanor, provide assistance and answer questions about merchandise and our mission.
• Assist the manager in ensuring that the shop, offices, and bathrooms are clean and safe.
• Act independently and responsibly to perform job duties on a consistent basis, ensuring the thrift shop meets the needs of the community and supports our mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred; willingness to learn required.
• Retail experience and customer service, preferred.
