Three (3) Postdoctoral researchers in Information Systems Science, Management Science, or Supply Chain Management

About the role

The positions are located at the Department of Information and Service Management. Postdoctoral researchers will work in close cooperation with the faculty in one of three disciplinary areas: Information Systems Science, Management Science, or Supply Chain Management/Logistics.

The department values an active approach to international research collaboration and business cooperation, supported by Aalto University’s multidisciplinary platforms. Research is empirical, often involving national and international partners, with results targeted at top-tier academic journals.

Research topics include digital service development, service networks, behavioral decision-making, data science, and sustainable supply chain management. The department comprises over 50 employees from diverse backgrounds.

The position includes a teaching load of up to 25% of yearly working time, focused on research-related topics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research in Information Systems Science, Management Science, or Supply Chain Management/Logistics.
• Publish research in high-quality scholarly journals.
• Collaborate with national and international partners on empirical research projects.
• Contribute to teaching (up to 25% of working time) in research-related topics.

Requirements

• Completion of doctoral studies (or near completion) within the past four years in a relevant field (e.g., supply chain management, logistics, information systems science, or management science).
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research independently and potential to publish in top-tier journals.
• Fluent skills in English.
• Background in analytics/management science, supply chain management/logistics, or information systems, with interest in the department’s research projects and topics (see department website).
