Thread Inspector

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional inspections of finished threaded products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Identify and document non-conforming products while maintaining accuracy throughout the inspection process.
  • Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns with production personnel to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and daily quality reports.
  • Promote a safe work environment by following all company safety and quality procedures.

Job Duties

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, including dial calipers, micrometers, and pit gauges, to inspect finished products.
  • Interpret measurement results and determine product conformance to specifications.
  • Record inspection results, including quantities inspected and non-conformance categories, for reporting purposes.
  • Notify production personnel of inspection results and collaborate to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure measuring tools are properly cared for and calibrated as required.
  • Follow all HSE, quality, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications is necessary.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as dial calipers, micrometers, and gauges is preferred.
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document inspection results is essential.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting are required.
  • A successful completion of a placement evaluation with a minimum score of 80% is mandatory.
  • Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience is preferred but not required.
