This Is What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain KOL Engagement Plans for thought leaders
- Plan and execute National and Regional Congress Engagement Plan with a focus on meaningful engagements with senior leadership and in support of marketing initiatives
- Support commercial KOL influence mapping initiatives by developing profiles
- Monitor KOL insights about current and future treatment patterns that may impact the commercial strategy and provide feedback for consideration
- Act as liaison between KOLs and Alexion for on label activities, including office-based cross-functional colleagues and teams (Marketing, Medical, Diagnostics, and Executive leadership)
- Affiliate with field partners such as Medical Science Liaisons on complementary initiatives with shared customers
- Assist in the facilitation and execution of commercial advisory boards through identification of key advisors equipped to provide compelling insights
- Manage and engage with the Promotional Physician Speaker Bureau
- Work with Marketing and Sales Management to identify and recruit KOLs for national and regional faculty and speaker bureaus
- Train, evaluate, and coach physician speakers to provide high-quality branded and unbranded education
- Ensures appropriate and compliant execution of speaker programs
- Makes sure speaker performance at live programs is monitored
- Provides field-based training on speaker programs when needed
- Compliantly collaborates with the Regional Field Team
- Provides input and support in developing account plans
- Provides field-based training when needed
- Addresses customer service issues/identified needs and coordinates cross-functional action plans to address on label issues as needed
- Works with cross-functional teams to provide key customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution
- Works with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company’s code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Requirements
- 7 plus years’ work experience in academia, medical or bio/pharma
- Experience in a combination of one or more of the following areas: product marketing, field sales, clinical, nurse practitioner or thought leader engagement
- Working knowledge of Thought Leader engagement practices
- Clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge and aptitude in complex disease states
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities
- Proven ability to manage large geographical territory
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Willing to travel >50% of the time including significant overnight and weekend travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Graduate degree (MSc, MSN, MBA) preferred
- Prior experience and/or relationships within the Neurology area preferred
- Prior experience in bio/pharma in Marketing or thought leader engagement strongly preferred
- Self-driven with strong organizing and planning skills
- Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under short timelines
