Thoracic Medical Oncologist, AdventHealth Celebration

About the role

The Thoracic Medical Oncologist will provide comprehensive care for patients with thoracic malignancies, working closely with a multidisciplinary team at AdventHealth Orlando.

Responsibilities

• Primary focus on thoracic malignancies, with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at AdventHealth Orlando.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of world-class physicians and APPs, along with nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, and nutrition services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, tumor boards (daily), and cutting-edge clinical trials, including Phase I research.
• Work side by side with internationally recognized leaders in the field.
• Access to state-of-the-art AdventHealth Cancer Institute, a nationally recognized program providing multidisciplinary care across medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and subspecialty oncology services.
• Established infusion centers, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, pulmonary medicine, and radiation oncology available onsite.
• Call responsibilities shared among the group.
• Collaborate with other medical oncology sites across Central Florida for collaboration and referral support.

Requirements

• Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology.
• Fellowship training in Thoracic Oncology is strongly preferred.
• Interest in program development and contributing to the continued growth of a destination cancer program.
