Third Party Risk Mgmt (TPRM) Governance Specialist

About the role

The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Governance Specialist plays a key role in advancing Vanguard's mission to reduce extended enterprise risk by strengthening third-party risk identification, governance, and management.

Responsibilities

• Steward and evolve Vanguard’s Global TPRM Policy and associated standards.
• Develop enterprise risk metrics, dashboards, and reporting to create improved transparency and inform third-party risk reduction activities.
• Lead assurance initiatives to strengthen third-party risk oversight, monitor compliance with TPRM policies and standards, and drive enterprise accountability.
• Support enterprise and departmental initiatives that advance the maturity, effectiveness, and sustainability of Vanguard’s global third-party risk program.
• Provide strategic risk advisory support for risk partners and divisional stakeholders, serving as a trusted thought partner for third-party risk.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ related work experience, with two years’ experience in risk management.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
• Ability to collaborate and engage with key program stakeholders.
• Demonstrated program and project management experience.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional certification (CTPRP, CPA, CIA, CISI, CRISC, etc.) preferred.

Important Information

This position operates in a hybrid environment. Team members are expected on-site at Vanguard’s campus Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. Monday and Friday are designated remote workdays, unless business needs require otherwise.
