About the role

A Third-Party Risk/Due Diligence Manager facilitates the due diligence process for prospective partners, executes regular refreshes for existing partners, assesses risk, and recommends mitigation steps. This role requires coordination with subject matter experts and proactive engagement with partners.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the due diligence process for prospective partners, liaising with business development teams and conducting quality checks.
  • Execute accurate and regular due diligence refreshes for existing partners based on risk levels.
  • Assess the risk of prospective and existing partners and recommend risk mitigation steps.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure timely input from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Proactively engage with partners to ensure proper documentation and timely responses to follow-ups.
  • Maintain clear internal communications with Partner Managers.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Customer Due Diligence or Compliance within regulated financial services environments.
  • A strong understanding of critical due diligence methodologies, industry guidelines (FATF, JMLSG), and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in client due diligence procedures, sanctions screening, and monitoring.
  • The ability to diligently capture and evidence activities, decisions, and the rationale behind them, considering regulatory, compliance, and reputational risks.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A results-oriented and self-driven individual who can operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze information, identify risk triggers, and evaluate risk pillars effectively.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to influence without authority, experience creating presentations using PowerPoint, and the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts in verbal and written form.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A university degree or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with tools like LexisNexis Bankers Almanac and Dow Jones.
  • CAMS, ICA, or equivalent certifications.
