Third Party Registered Nurse/Donor RN

Job Purpose

The Third-Party Nurse individual will function as a dynamic member of the patient care team, providing treatment, education, and guidance to fertility patients seeking third party services throughout their fertility journey. This position works collaboratively with Providers, Counselors, REI Nurses and Third-Party support staff to provide FDA compliant, timely, and professional services. The Registered Nurse will serve as treatment coordinator and strive to provide every individual an optimal patient experience.

Essential Functions And Accountabilities

• Implement provider directives through management of identified diagnostic and clinical treatment plans, while maintaining performance benchmarks;
• Recommend possible options and courses of action as appropriate;
• Follow up on and communicate laboratory values and semen analysis, embryology and genetic results to patients;
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care services in the EMR system and ensuring documentation meets current legal standards and polices;
• Demonstrate skills and judgment necessary to implement the plan of care, nursing interventions and procedures, as necessary for the care and safety of the patient;
• Continually seek new knowledge and learning pertinent to the treatment of the fertility patient.
• Ensure FDA requirements are complete, accurate, uploaded to patients chart correctly and readily available for review;
• Collaborate with REI nurses to assist with third party patients;
• Mentor peers and promote collaborative teamwork.
• Maintain a cooperative and productive working relationship intra-departmentally as well as inter-departmentally;
• Assist provider with in-office procedures, as needed.

Position Requirements/Experience

• Flexibility to work weekdays with weekends and rotational holidays – required;
• 2-3 years’ experience as an RN – highly preferred;
• Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred;

Academic Training

• BSN Degree or active RN license without limitations – required;
• BCLS and/or ACLS and/or IV certification – preferred;
