Thermal Validation Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the telecommunications and electromechanical products industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Thermal Validation Engineer to join their dynamic team in San Jose, CA.

About the role

As an integral part of the Testing and Validation Department, you will support innovative projects by conducting thermal and acoustic testing, analyzing data, and collaborating with hardware engineering teams to resolve thermal-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up prototypes for thermal and acoustic testing, including thermocouple installation and wind tunnel operations
• Conduct laboratory testing on electro-mechanical and telecom products to validate thermal performance
• Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports to support product development and validation processes
• Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve thermal-related issues
• Ensure testing procedures comply with industry standards such as GR and NEBS

Requirements

• Laboratory testing experience with electro-mechanical and telecom products
• Experience as a Thermal Validation Engineer for electromechanical products
• Experience setting up prototypes for thermal and acoustic testing, including thermocouple installation and wind tunnel operations
• Knowledge of telecom test standards such as GR and NEBS (desired)
• Hardware engineering background with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft tools for reporting
