Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) Engineer

About the role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing thermal protection systems to ensure spacecraft and equipment are protected during launch and space travel.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze thermal protection systems for various aerospace applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions
• Conduct research and development on new materials and technologies for improved thermal protection
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in thermal protection systems engineering
• Strong understanding of heat transfer principles and materials science
• Experience with CAD software and thermal analysis tools

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Proficiency in MATLAB and ANSYS
• Knowledge of NASA and ESA guidelines
• Experience with project management tools
