About the Role

The ideal candidate will lead projects from concept to completion, design and develop components using SolidWorks, devise and conduct experiments, analyze results, and prepare technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and project leads to understand product requirements and develop cost-effective, innovative solutions.
  • Design and develop thermal and mechanical components to meet customer specifications.
  • Create 3D models, detailed parts, assemblies, inspection drawings, and product travelers using SolidWorks.
  • Design products aligned with our manufacturing capabilities and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Procure materials, place purchase orders, issue manufacturing work orders, and coordinate delivery schedules with vendors.
  • Develop laboratory test plans to validate key product characteristics and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Analyze experimental data to enhance product performance and functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Experience creating 3D models and drawings with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skills

  • 5+ years of research experience.
  • Experience designing and conducting thermofluids experiments in laboratory environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations such as CNC milling, turning, TIG welding, and laser welding.
  • Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition and test automation, including tools like LabVIEW.
