Primary Responsibilities

  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answering phones
  • Greeting Patients
  • Obtain and document authorizations and visit limits
  • Patient check in
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Review reports and update patient records as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Maintain medical records in accordance with published record retention standards
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment
  • Data entry
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months customer service/reception experience in health care setting
  • Health care insurance, Worker's Compensation, and Medicare experience preferred
  • Orthopedic and or OT/PT clinic experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize own work and work of others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong personal computer skills (Microsoft Office and Windows)
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly dependable
  • Office phone experience
  • Ability to type 30 words per minute required
