About the Role

Employee responsibilities include assisting and instructing individuals in performing a variety of therapy activities according to prescribed procedures. Under close supervision, the employee assists therapists in developing treatment plans, conducting evaluations, and providing instruction. They also observe and document individual progress, requisition supplies, maintain work areas, and ensure equipment is in good working order.

Responsibilities

  • Supports planning, implementing, and administering therapy activities.
  • Aids therapists in creating and modifying treatment plans and conducting evaluations.
  • Communicates with therapists and others to discuss and evaluate individual progress.

Requirements

  • Education: Relevant coursework in therapy practices.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of therapy practices and record-keeping.
  • Certification/License: Possession of a Delaware Occupational Therapy Assistant license depending on job assignment.
