THERAPY AIDE II (Life Enrichment/Activities)

About the role

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Therapy Aide II (Activities/Life Enrichment) at Allentown & Fountain Hill locations. Part-time positions are available, approximately 20 hours per week, not benefit eligible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and implements nursing home resident activities programming.
• Affirms resident recreation needs and helps to develop care planning in coordination with resident's input and the interdisciplinary team.
• Runs group activities and assists team in running large events, including resident outings.
• Works with the L.E. team and other departments, such as nursing, to ensure residents' leisure needs are met as per the care plan in an organized and safe manner.
• Documents appropriately in the resident's chart.
• Performs related work as required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of substantiated experience working in a Long-term Care Activities or Therapeutic Recreation or Life Enrichment Department.
• If multiple candidates have the same amount of required Activities/T.R./L.E. experience, then the candidate with more seniority at Cedarbrook will be chosen.
• Educational equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Possession of a valid PA Driver's License.
