Therapy Aide -Full Time

About the role

Outpatient Therapy Aide / Therapy Tech position at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Round Rock (Teravista), TX. Full‑time, 32‑40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 7 am‑7 pm. Starting salary $18‑$24 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patients working on assigned tasks
• Transfer patients and help them to/from different locations for programming
• Perform light clerical tasks
• Infection control cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment
• Driving routes
• Assist clinicians with direct patient care (transferring, toileting)
• Assist front desk with light clerical tasks
• Set up patients on therapeutic activities
• Lead exercise groups
• Perform patient‑related tasks assigned by therapist
• Lift patients to/from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs and other equipment
• Assist patients with transfer activities to all surfaces
• Assist patients in donning/doffing appliances
• Position patients in parallel bars and prepare for standing with orthotic/prosthetic devices
• Transport patients to/from therapy as needed
• Assist therapist with other patient‑related treatment activities and provide equipment
• Assist with patient‑related activities including equipment set‑up and patient positioning for therapy sessions

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment

Qualifications

• One or more years of hospital experience as a therapy aide (preferred)
• Strong preference for candidates currently in PT/OT school

Pay
