Therapist - PRN Weekend

About the Role

Therapists conduct therapeutic services for patients, including psychological assessments, developing treatment objectives, and updating treatment plans. They facilitate family sessions prior to discharge and serve as primary contacts and advocates for patients and families during treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions.
  • Assess clinical needs, establish rapport, gather data, and determine patient readiness for treatment.
  • Complete psychosocial assessments and respond therapeutically in crises.
  • Keep families informed of patient progress.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team and coordinate discharge planning.
  • Maintain a full caseload.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree required.
  • Experience working with adolescents is essential.
  • Knowledge of individual, group, and family therapy techniques, cultural considerations, and adolescent developmental needs.
  • Ability to assess treatment dynamics and develop effective strategies.

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Clinical skill and empathy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
