Therapist, Outpatient (PRN)

How You'll Contribute

• Counsels patients on psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Participates in treatment planning meetings.
• Communicates with families and outside referral sources.
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicates effectively with Utilization Review (UR) on treatment and length of stay (LOS) issues.
• Completes necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Demonstrates crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
• Assists in crisis situations to ensure patient safety.
• Performs thorough patient assessments using clinical skills.
• Supports care coordination efforts as needed.
• Documents patient information accurately and according to hospital standards.
• Ensures strict confidentiality.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws.
• Involves in discharge, transition, and after-care planning processes.

What We're Looking For

• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.
• A Master's degree in social work or counseling is required.
• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients is preferred.
• A current, unrestricted clinical license in the state of practice is required.
