THERAPIST - LCSW/LPC ADULT OUTPATIENT PROGRAM

About the role

The Therapist is a licensed professional in New Jersey, recovery-oriented with a trauma-informed approach to care. This role involves treating adults using evidence-based practices, participating in a multidisciplinary team, and developing clinical skills while working fully in-office with clients.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough intake assessments, formulates diagnoses based on clinical presentation, and determines appropriate level of care.
• Outlines preliminary treatment plans addressing the immediate needs of the client, including identification of individual needs.
• Facilitates individual, family, and group therapy, ensuring sessions begin and end on time, preparing materials as required, and improving group processes based on population needs.
• Provides case management, including advocacy, consultation, service coordination, and contact with community resources. Documents all client-related contacts.
• Responds to mental health crises, such as walk-ins and access calls.
• Develops individualized treatment plans and reviews client progress within required timeframes, specifying problems in behavioral/observable terms.
• Collaborates with the Treatment Team to identify clients at risk for discharge, creatively engages vulnerable populations, and makes at least 3 attempts to engage clients (or more in high-risk cases).
• Participates in performance improvement activities as assigned.
• Completes all medical record documentation within 24 hours.
• Consults with Leadership to determine a schedule that meets the needs of the population served.
• Participates in weekly supervision with a clinical supervisor and attends treatment team meetings, including agency-wide clinical case reviews.
• Complies with NJ state regulations outlining requirements to practice with a provisional mental health license.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or another recognized mental health discipline.
• NJ licensure as LCSW or LPC.
• Experience working with adults with a wide range of emotional and behavioral needs.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures as outlined in the HR Manual and Employee Handbook.

Pay

$72,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year.

Schedule

Full Time, working fully in-office with clients.
