Therapist I/Counselor- The Haven

Responsibilities

• Facilitating individual, couple, family and group therapy to clients employing various therapeutic techniques
• Documenting and updating clinical records using an electronic health record system
• Cookordinate with community agencies and programs for services as needed such as sober living homes, DHR, AA, various other civic and religious groups
• Responds to crisis situations as needed

Requirements

• BS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field required or MS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with completion of a relevant clinical practicum preferred
• Must have a good motor vehicle record and be willing to submit to MVR check
• Prefer substance abuse certification from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium
• If not previously certified or licensed as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT, must be willing to obtain certification within (2) years of hire
• If in recovery, must have at least (3) years of verifiable sobriety
