This role is ideal for a Bachelor's-level clinician holding an active CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) credential who is ready to build a caseload, sharpen clinical skills, and grow toward advanced licensure within a supportive, mission-driven team. As a Therapist I - CADC, You Will Provide meaningful, recovery-focused clinical services to patients during critical stages of treatmentBuild and manage a caseload with regular clinical supervision and supportCollaborate with experienced clinicians, medical providers, and interdisciplinary treatment teamsPlay a key role in treatment planning, family engagement, and continuity of careAccess ongoing training, supervision, and a clear path toward advanced licensure Benefits Eligible full-time team members receive comprehensive benefits including: Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and disability coverage401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysWellness incentives and employee assistance programs Key Responsibilities Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and gather diagnostic information within established timeframesComplete required ASAM documentation for admission, continued stay, transfers, and dischargeDevelop, implement, and regularly update individualized, measurable treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the treatment team Therapeutic Services & Patient Care Provide individual, group, and family therapy in accordance with program standards, including daily process groupsFacilitate therapeutic, psychoeducational, and experiential groups that promote insight and recovery-focused progress Family Engagement & Care Coordination Maintain regular communication with families and support systems, including weekly family sessionsMaintain communication with referral sources and external providers to support continuity of careCollaborate with Case Management on discharge and continuing care planning Crisis Intervention, Safety & Documentation Apply sound clinical judgment in crisis situations, including suicide risk assessment and safety planningComplete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes in accordance with organizational and licensing/accrediting standardsParticipate in supervision, quality improvement activities, and ongoing professional development Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or another related human services field, combined with an active CADC certification in Illinois, required (Master's-level candidates also encouraged to apply)Knowledge of state and federal patient confidentiality regulationsFamiliarity with ASAM criteria and clinical documentation requirementsStrong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Kipu preferred) Preferred One or more years of clinical experience providing therapy in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment settings, strongly preferredExperience working in residential, inpatient, or detoxification levels of care, strongly preferredPreference given to candidates actively pursuing, or planning to pursue, an associate/pre-clinical licensure or advanced degree toward full clinical licensure Apply Now This is an evergreen posting — we accept applications on a rolling basis and will reach out as openings become available across our Illinois locations.
