Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Assess patients' needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and support using evidence-based techniques
- Educate patients about their mental health and treatment options
- Document patient progress
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality
- Participate in continuing education to stay updated on best practices
- Report and document suspected cases of abuse and neglect
- Communicate assertively and accurately
- Support changes in staffing/scheduling assignments
- Participate in clinical initiatives and projects
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements
- Support patient safety and facility safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy from an accredited school
- Experience in health care and psychiatric settings preferred
- In-training as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-IT), Marriage and Family Therapist Training License (MFT-TL), or equivalent in state practicing
- Substance use specialty authorization applicable to the state hired in
- Knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups
- Compliance with RCC and CBRF training and certifications
Qualifications
- Current and active driver's license (preferred)
