Therapist - Drug & Alcohol
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, psychology, addictions studies, social work or related field with specialty or concentration in counseling
- Actively working towards a Professional License (i.e., LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist), OR
- Actively working towards a credential through PCB (i.e., CAAC, CADC, CAADC, CCS), or be actively working toward licensure or certification.
- Conduct effective individual and group therapy using strong clinical judgment
- Assess client needs and stage of change to recommend appropriate services
- Engage resistant individuals using rapport, empathy, and evidence-based techniques
- Manage caseload, track progress, and re-engage individuals as needed
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Licensure or certification will need to be achieved within two to three (2 - 3) years of hire, depending on requirements. Hires after 7/1/2021 – employees must complete and maintain certification and/or license required by regulations and offered by Merakey within the required timeline. Failure to successfully complete and maintain license and/or certification and associated continuing education requirements will prevent you from being able to fulfill this role.

This role provides individual and group therapy to individuals with substance use disorders, using strong clinical skills to assess needs, support engagement, and promote recovery.
