About the role
The Therapist in this role conducts evaluations and develops treatment plans for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, including autism.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct counseling, behavior modification, crisis intervention, and consults with staff, guardians, and families.
- Administers assessments, prepares reports, participates in treatment planning, and maintains thorough documentation.
- Delivers therapeutic support to children and families, conducts staff training, and presents to review committees when needed.
Requirements
- Holds a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
- Possesses valid licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, or LLP).
- Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities, cultural competency, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate are essential.
Qualifications
- Must have a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
- Valid licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, or LLP) is required.
